Memorial Day (May)

National Cemetery:

Join us in making a positive impact on the final resting places of our heroes this Memorial Day. Over time, cemeteries face environmental challenges and wear, affecting the dignity of the final resting sites. Whether it’s facilitating cleanups, laying flags, or placing wreaths, your dedication will make a meaningful impact. By participating in cleanups, we can ensure that these hallowed grounds are maintained with the respect and reverence they deserve.  To find a VA National Cemetery near your chapter, and learn about opportunities to get involved, please visit this link.

9/11 (September)

united in service - the mission continues 9/11

The mission is clear, and we need you to join us, United In Service, this September.

As we approach the 23rd anniversary of 9/11, Student Veterans of America’s National Head Quarters is presenting a special opportunity to unite as a community and make a meaningful impact. The Mission Continues, an organization dedicated to service and community, has issued a call to action for us to join forces and honor those who have served and sacrificed in the aftermath of 9/11.

This year for 9/11 Day of Service, we want each of you to find a local TMC Platoon to serve with. Whether you’re a veteran, military connected, or simply someone who believes in the power of community service, this is your chance to make a real impact while remembering the events that shaped our nation.

How Can You Get Involved?
Registration: Click here to register with The Mission Continues for a project near you.

Please ensure to select Student Veterans of America for the organization you are representing.

Engage: Participate in the service project, contribute your skills, and connect with fellow volunteers.

Share: Spread the word about this opportunity within your networks to inspire others to join this cause.  Don’t forget to tag us on your social media posts!

By participating, you’ll be part of a nationwide movement dedicated to making a difference and upholding the unity that emerged in the wake of 9/11. Together, as Student Veterans of America and The Mission Continues, we can contribute to our communities, honor the sacrifices made by our fellow Americans, and leave a lasting legacy of service.

Please note: If you do not have The Mission Continues Platoon in your area, we encourage you to reach out to your campus and community for volunteer opportunities. If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected].
